What is the Einbürgerungstest?
The Einbürgerungstest (officially the "Leben in Deutschland" test) is a 33-question multiple-choice exam on German law, history, society, and the rights and duties of citizens. The questions are drawn from a public pool of 300 general questions plus 10 specific to your federal state. You take it at a licensed centre (usually a Volkshochschule) for around €25, and the certificate never expires.
