Pharmacy is a fully regulated profession in Germany. The Approbation als Apotheker/in is issued by the state health authority (Landesgesundheitsamt or Regierungspräsidium, depending on the Bundesland). Indian B.Pharm (4 years) + M.Pharm (2 years) is typically treated as equivalent to the German Apothekerstudium (5 years). A 4-year B.Pharm alone may require additional assessment.

- 2Submit B.Pharm + M.Pharm degrees (or B.Pharm + sufficient post-qualification experience) with certified German translations

- 4If gaps identified: Kenntnisprüfung (knowledge exam in German) or Anpassungslehrgang (supervised practice period)
- 5Provide B2 German certificate, C1 strongly preferred for patient-counselling roles
- 6Approbation issued: valid across all German states; authorises independent pharmacy practice
